Best Indoor Games For Children
During the summer and winter holidays, parents won’t allow their kids to go out due to excess heat or cold temperature, but children always seek something to engage with otherwise they got bored or make some trouble for their parents. We suggest all parents give some time to their children so that they learn something new in a fun manner.
Here we are suggesting a list of some fun and engaging indoor games.
Touch and feel box
It is one of my favorite games. This game is helpful for kids to enhance their capability of identifying different objects only by touching them.
All you need is a cardboard box or a shoebox with a hole (large enough for a kid’s hand) and various types of objects. Just put various objects in the box and ask your child to identify them.
Puzzle
This is an engaging game for children, all you need is to give them some educational puzzles or word puzzles.
If you don't have any puzzles at home then take some old picture books and cut them into small square pieces and give them to your children.
Playdough
Best game for children to enhance their creativity. All you need to do is to give a table and a set of playdough/clay and ask your child to create different objects.
If you don’t have clay then you can also use all-purpose flour add some color to it and knead the dough with some oil and water.
Kids Yoga
Best for your child's health, and also helps in increasing flexibility.
All you need is
A yoga mat/ mat and
some flashcards with yoga postures.
You can also play calm music to make it more interesting.
Indoor bowling
It's a fun game for children and also become more exciting if play with friends. You can make a small bowling alley at your home for your kids.
All you need is
10 old cola bottle
A ball
A tape to make straight lines (for making lanes)
A pen and notepad ( for scorecard)
You can also play some music and put on some colorful lights to make it really fun.
Building your fort
It is one of my all-time favorite games. You can also engage your child in this fun game to do your work peacefully.
You just have to give some pillows, bedsheets, cardboard boxes, and toys to your kid and ask them to build a fort.
Treasure hunt
It is also a fun and engaging game that also help children to develop their thinking and analyzing capability.
Use some coins, chocolates, or any toy as treasure.
Hide the treasure.
Make some cards with clues and hide them in different places.
Make a small map for your child to find clues and treasure accordingly.
